European Powerboat of the Year 2009

Bavaria 30 sport HT, made by Germany's biggest boatbuilder Bavaria, was elected European Powerboat of the Year 2009 in the class up to 30 feet. Other nominated powerboats in this categorie: Bénéteau Monte Carlo 27. Frauscher 909 Benaco, Jeanneau Merry Fisher 815 and Sessa Key Largo 24.

The Marex 370 Family Cruiser is the winner of the categorie up to 40 feet. Competitors have been Absolute 40, Askeladden Commuter 11, Bénéteau Monte Carlo 32 and Sealine SC 35.


In the class up to 50 feet, two yachts share the award as they got absolutely the same number of points: Ferretti 470 (see picture) and Windy 44 Chinook have been announced European Powerboats of the Year in their class, leaving Sealine SC 47, Sessa C 43 and Absolute 43 behind.










The Mochi Dolphin 54 Flybridge got the award in the class more than 50 feet - Aszimut 58 Flybridge, Itama SeventyFive, Pershing 64 and Sunseeker 70 Manhattan have been on the shortlist of the nominated yachts.











For the first time the jury elected a winner in the new class "displacement yachts" - the winner is Linssen Sturdy 40.9. Conrad Classic 58, Nordic Cruiser, Oinasse 46 and Vri-Jon Classic 42 had been nominated as well.





The "Innovation Award" was given to the system Axius for MerCruiser engines.
