Summer cruises 2013: Balearic Islands and Turkey soon fully booked
In the top yacht charter destinations in the Mediterranean, due to the early bird booking boom it is already difficult at certain periods to get the desired yacht: Especially in the Balearic Islands and Turkey, in January already more than 50 percent of the charter weeks were booked: In Croatia bookings are similar, however with a significantly greater number of available yachts. Yacht Charter destinations 2013 - Tops and Trends
The dream destination of most european charter sailors for their summer cruise is Greece - this is at least what slightly more than 30 percent of the charter tourists comment in a survey as their preferred destination. Some 25 percent prefer cruising in Croatia, for each 13 percent, Italy and Turkey are the favourites, followed by the Balearic Islands and France.
Due to the accessibility of the areas, flights, price levels and the different number of charter fleets however, the real bookings do not always coincide with the desired regions: One third of the early birds booked their yacht for their summer cruise 2013 in Croatia, about 20 per cent in Greece, 15 percent in Italy. Slightly more than 10 percent have opted for Turkey and Spain / Balearics.
Most charter yachts are based in Croatia: Here charter sailors have the choice between about 2800 sailing and motor yachts in the charter fleets. With about 1700 yachts Greece is second, followed by Italy with about 1400, Turkey with approximately 900, German Baltic Sea with about 800 and Spain with around 600 yachts: Here, most yachts are based in the Balearic Islands of Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza.

Antigua Sailing Week 2013
Life is Sailing & Life is a party: Antigua Sailing Week - 2013 - April 27th - May 3rd - bareboat charter yachts still available. With or without race package - enjoy fantastic sailing and one of the most exciting party weeks of the Caribbean!
The "Campania Wine & Sail Flotilla" starts in Procida in the bay of Naples on June 1st 2013. On the west coast of Italy, crews will sail in one week to Capri, Amalfi, Acciaroli, Agropoli, Salerno and Naples. Five evenings will be spent with wine tasting and a typical Italian dinner.
Sailing USA: For sailors who want to pursue the Americas Cup in San Francisco on her own keel with a chartered yacht, or who always wanted to cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, there is a new charter base that opens 2013 in San Francisco. In the homeport of sailing history on the U.S. East Coast Newport, Rhode Island, formerly the site of many legendary AC Cup matches, bareboat charter yachts can now as well be booked for the next summer.
Suggestion for 2013: Charters in Greece
 For the new season, Greek charter bases try to offer even better service and equipment: They invest in new yachts and equipment upgrades, for example installing LED lighting strips in the cockpit, offering TV with a DVD about the sailing region and check-in information, an Ipad for the cruise or solar panels for better power supply. And the number of catamarans offered - with or without crew - is growing significantly. So for the 2013 season, yacht charters in Greece can really be recommended.
The use of the buoys in the Cabrera archipelago which is very popular among yacht charter Mallorca crews has now to be paid for. Until the end of this summer season, overnight stays at the buoys in the national park south of Majorca was free of charter - sailors had only to apply for a permission before there cruise. However, the fees are relatively modest.
In the yacht harbour Teos Marina, Yacht Charter Turkey crews now find a new charter base on the west coast of Turkey - easily accessible from the airport Izmir. The modern marina offers every kind of comfort in a historically significant location. Thus there are now three charter bases on the Turkish West Coast: sailing yachts have already been available as well in the Marina Alacati near Cesme and in Kusadasi.
Yacht charter crews cruising in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza, will find more space in the marinas: To promote yacht charter tourism, the government plans to expand the yacht harbours of the Balearic Islands.
Sun Odyssey 409 and Elan 350, both winners of the "European Yacht of the Year" competition, will be available for charter in the next summer season - as well as many other brand new sailing yachts.
Charter yachts for sailing the Cyclades Islands are now available directly from Mykonos.
In addition to the yacht charter bases in Cienfuegos there is now another base at the South coast of Cuba in the Marina Playa Ancon.
There are still charter yachts available for crews who want to sail the 2012 Phang Nga Bay Regatta in Thailand.
