Yacht Charter Menorca / Mahon

Mahón is the most easterly harbour of Spain and after Pearl Harbour the 2nd largest nature harbour in the world; with the two islands of Isla del Rey and Isla Lazareto smack in the middle. Merchant ships, ferries, charter yachts, charter sailors on their way from and to Corsica or Sardinia meet here in Maó – possibilities for mooring and anchoring are plenty, ranging from the public embankment and different moles to the Club Maritimo, private mooring and bathing pontoons.

The townscape of Mahón, in olden days characterised by Spanish and Moorish influences, is still dominated by the colour white, but Catalonian art nouveau and English architecture have blended in as well. Worth seeing: the fortress of San Felipe Rui, the cathedral Santa Maria Major, the Museo de Menorca and the talaiots and prehistoric sites nearby.
