The wide bay of Marigot, fringed with palm trees and with the bays of Baie Nettlé and Baie de la Potence to its sides, is open towards northeast and offers plenty of space for anchoring as well as two marinas: Marina Fort Louis and Port la Royale. Marigot itself is a perfect mix of French and Caribbean influences: with cafes and restaurants, vegetable- and fish markets plus a church worth seeing.
