Yacht Charter Seychelles Archipelago

The tropical climate of the Seychelles archipelago and the most beautiful islands invite to sailing throughout the year – there is no hurrican season. Air temperatures are between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, the water is perfect for swimming and snorkelling with temperatures between 24 and 29 degrees. Only in August winds will blow with windspeeds up to 20 – 25 knots, from mid of may until mid of october the trade winds from south east usually reach about 15 knots. From December to March monsoon winds come from north west with about 10 knots – and between December and February you have to expect some shower.

TheYacht Charter base for starting your sailing trip will be Victoria on Mahé Island or Praslin (there are short flights between Mahé and Praslin). From Mahe you could cruise between the Inner Islands, all lying in distances of no more than 60 miles from Mahé. Hoghlights of your trip will be stops in Silhouette Island with a big tropical rain forest, Bird Island with long sandy beaches and thousands of birds, La Digue which is called the most beautiful islands because of white beaches and fascinating rocks and Cousin Island with a nature reserve for turtles.

The Outer Islands Amirantes, Farquhar and Aldabra are situated in distance of 120 to 700 miles from Mahé – navigation here is a bit more complicated with special rules for anchoring in some of the bays.
